Summary of Events Calendar
December 11, 2014
The location for the December meeting will be at the Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet located at 2309 South MacArthur in Springfield, IL. The tentative schedule is to eat dinner first and then have a short business meeting during which time, the election of officers for the 2015 calendar year will take place.
As in past annual meetings, members are encouraged (but not required) to donate a door prize to be awarded by drawing numbers. The donation does not have to be beekeeping related.
Start time - 7 PM
No RSVP or reservation is required on your part. The room should accommodate 50 to 60 people and if need be the restaurant may be able to provide extra space.

Introduction To Bee Keeping 2015
Explore the fascinating world of honey bees and the steps to becoming a beekeeper at "Introduction to Bee Keeping".
This four part series will cover all aspects of beginning bee keeping, whether you think you might like to become a bee keeper or would just like to learn more about honey bees.
This program is sponsored by Lincoln Land Bee Keepers Association (LLBK), Sangamon County Farm Bureau and University of Illinois Extension Logan-Menard-Sangamon Unit.
Session dates are on Thursdays, February 26 March 5, 19 and 26, from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Sessions will be held at the University of Illinois Extension Building, 700 S. Airport Drive, Springfield, IL.
There will not be a class on March 12, as that is scheduled for a LLBK meeting, however, class attendees will be invited to attend the meeting.
Registration fee of $30. The registration fee includes the "First Lessons In Beekeeping" book.
Pre-registration opens on January 5, 2015.
